Implementation Best Practices - Alfresco: Using Open Source to Deliver Enterprise Collaboration

13:00 - 13:30 - Telford Theatre - Technical Session

Speaker: Aingaran Pillai, MD, Zaizi Consulting

Abstract: With IT budgets being squeezed, businesses are under pressure to deliver more with less resource. Open source is at the core of lowering cost and TCO by reusing existing hardware, software and skills with no lock-in. In this session, open source implementation expert, Aingaran Pillai, will explore how open source technologies can change the face of enterprise collaboration, regardless of industry sector, and how organisations are now using these tools to continuously engage and enrich members of their ecosystem.

Aingaran will also discuss how a wide range of UK organisations are using Alfresco, Red Hat and JBoss solutions, to solve their content management and collaboration projects and funding project investment out of operating expense as opposed to capital expense.
